The local kids excitedly guided us to our campground in Remis.

Peru: Kayaking Lake Titicaca

A boat in our bags

After our kayak was dried, disassembled and packed onto mules, we were invited to camp in the village of Ramis. And as luck would have it, Grey's Circo del Sol, a bizarre circus act (with dancing Andean bears, poodles in skirts and an 8-year old trapize artist) from Lima was in town, making for a surreal ending to a bizarre day.

Breakfast in the field behind our host family's house. From here we loaded all our gear onto a bus back to Huancane and then Llachon where "The Rhino" was parked in a farmer's field.
