Along the canal families were busily involved in the totora harvest, but not too busy to drop what they were doing and check out our gear. They were curious and delighted by our kayak and paddles. Several locals offered to trade a wooden boat for our Feathercraft, claiming their boats were more seaworthy and could carry more stuff.
