Copacabana is a magnet for pilgrims. They come to worship the Virgin of Copacabana and have their automobiles blessed for the journey home (with roads like Bolivia's you need all the help you can get).

On the hectic street outside the Cathedral, vehicles are crammed-in three or four rows deep, decorated with garlands, ribbons and flags in preparation for a blessing from the Priest.
